Best Friends & Laughter

I have to say that I really love my best friend of 30 something years.  I remember one occasion when I got a text from her while in the grocery store, saying, "You have to stop crying everyday, all day. Give it to God, He is going to take care of everything."  Of course, this made me cry.  This was a couple of months after our son-in-law, Hunter, was KIA.  We as a family were really struggling to keep it together.

I had a hard time just doing all the normal mom and wife things I typically do; trying to keep things normal, like cooking and cleaning.  Setting the mood of our home.   So, I got home and called my best friend to thank her for the text.  The thing about Trisha that I love, is that she can always make me laugh and forget about everything for a while.  During our conversation, me pouring my heart out to her, she stops and yells at Aiden, her youngest son, "If you want to eat beans you have to take a shower!"  What???  Needless to say, we laughed and couldn't stop laughing.  I really needed that; we all do.  Laughter can be the best medicine.
